Welcome to the LJ forum for the largest underground hacking event in the world.

Since someone deleted dc_stuff, and some kid already has defcon (who has not posted in their LJ for a year & the contact email rejected); I created this LJ community for those DEFCON attendees (whether attendees, speakers, Goons, or even Feds) that are on LiveJournal to socialize, discuss DEFCON issues, and plan for the next one.

The community guidelines are easy. I really only ask two things of list members: that they stay on topic, and that they respect their fellow list members. Heard of netiquette? Good.

The name: At DEFCON 10 a fellow attendee with the handle KOAJ would keep walking around saying/screaming "DEFCON, DEFCON, DEFCCCOOONNN!!!!". It drove me insane, to the point I had to ask him to please stop - of course he did not. Seemed sort of appropriate to name the new LJ DEFCON community after that - even though LJ names are limited to 15 characters. But you get the idea...
